            ROOM BLUES CD
              - $10s/h - $3.00 ($5.00 outside USA)
 Released in January
1999, Green Room Blues features 15 all-original tracks by talented
Blues musicians from Central PA, Eastern PA, and Northern Maryland.
Recorded entirely at the Green Room, this album features never-before-released
tracks which were recorded specifically for this compilation, and
              includes "Let
Me Show You How It's Done", featuring Karl Williams with
              The Canal Street Jazz Band.

                In
their attempt to make a loose, general "History of the
Blues" Bob Welsh and Dale Wise have documented the recent
history of this region's hardest working blues bands. The artists
on this album have dedicated a large part of their lives pursuing
a form of music that, though not native to this geographical
region, has permeated almost all forms of popular music in this
century. And since the blues has never really been a "popular"
form, it speaks to the most basic, sincere emotions of humankind:
joy, sadness, sex, and the triumph over bad times.-- Gerry Coleman,
from his foreword to Green Room Blues
